Cookie Policy

The short version: this website sets no cookies at all unless you choose Accept on the cookie banner. We use no advertising or remarketing cookies of any kind. If you accept, we load Google Analytics 4 to measure how the site is used; if you decline, or take no action, it is never loaded and no analytics cookie is set. The other third party your browser contacts is Cloudflare, on our contact page only, for the anti-bot check that protects the form.

1. Cookies on this website

Marathon Airlines does not place advertising, remarketing or cross-site tracking cookies on your device when you browse flymarathon.aero, and no cookie of any kind is set unless you accept the cookie banner shown on your first visit.

We use one analytics service, Google Analytics 4, to understand how many people visit the site and which pages they find useful. It is loaded only if you choose Accept on the banner. If you choose Decline, or simply ignore the banner, the Google Analytics script is never requested and none of its cookies are created. Your choice itself is recorded in your browser’s own local storage — a storage entry, not a cookie — so you are not asked again. You can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser’s site data for flymarathon.aero, which shows the banner again on your next visit.

We have configured Google Analytics with IP anonymisation enabled, so your IP address is truncated before it is processed. We do not use it for advertising, we do not enable Google Signals or remarketing, and we do not share the data with other advertisers.

2. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website asks your browser to store, so it can recognise your device on a later visit. They are widely used to keep users signed in, to remember preferences, to measure how a site is used, and to target advertising. Cookies cannot damage your device or read files on it.

3. Third parties and outside requests

Unless you have accepted the cookie banner, viewing this website sends no request to any third party on any page but one. There are no advertising scripts, no embedded players or maps, and no external font service: our typefaces are served from flymarathon.aero itself, so nothing about your visit reaches another company in order to draw the page. If you accept the banner, your browser additionally loads the Google Analytics script described in section 1.

The exception, whatever you chose on the banner, is our contact page, and there are three things worth stating plainly:

• The security check on our contact form. Our contact page loads Cloudflare Turnstile, which confirms the form is being filled in by a person rather than a bot. Your browser therefore contacts Cloudflare, which receives your IP address and technical signals about your browser in order to run that check. This is a security measure, not analytics or advertising, and it is necessary for the form to work, so it runs whatever you chose on the cookie banner. In the configuration we use, Turnstile relies on short-lived browser signals rather than cookies; we do not use its optional pre-clearance feature, which is the setting that would place a cookie on your device. Cloudflare’s handling of that data is governed by its own privacy terms.
• What you send us. The content of the form is emailed to our commercial team through our email provider. It is not stored on this website. See the Privacy Policy for how that data is handled.
• Links to our social media profiles. The icons in the footer are ordinary links. Nothing is loaded from those networks while you are on this site, and they learn nothing about your visit unless you click through — at which point that network’s own privacy and cookie policies apply, not ours.

4. Controlling cookies in your browser

Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies, and to be warned before one is stored. Those settings are usually under Privacy or Security in your browser’s preferences. Blocking cookies will not affect your ability to use this website, since it sets none unless you accept the cookie banner, but it may affect other sites you visit.
