Flight Operations Officer (FOO)

Marathon Airlines is seeking Flight Operations Officers (FOOs) to join our Operations Control Center (OCC) at our headquarters in Glyfada, Athens Greece.

Role Description

The Flight Operations Officer is responsible for supporting the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of company flights. The role requires strong coordination with flight crews, internal departments, external service providers, and relevant authorities, ensuring operations are conducted in accordance with company procedures and applicable regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor company flights in compliance with applicable regulations and company procedures.
• Prepare Operational Flight Plans, flight briefings, and ensure accurate ATC flight plan filing.
• Conduct Flight Watch and proactively manage delays, diversions, and operational disruptions.
• Coordinate closely with flight crews, ATC, ground handling agents, crew scheduling, and other internal departments.
• Maintain operational control in conjunction with the Pilot-in-Command to ensure safe and efficient flight operations.
• Support emergency response procedures and ensure accurate operational reporting and documentation.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience in an OCC / Flight Dispatch environment.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of aviation operational regulations and requirements.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work shifts and perform effectively under pressure and in time-critical situations.
• Strong computer literacy and professional email communication skills.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
